With more than three decades of experience in public policy, political strategy, and communications, Ron has built a reputation for principled leadership and effective messaging. His career spans work at the local, state, national, and international levels—equipping him with a rare combination of practical experience and strategic vision. In 2016, Ron served as National Spokesman for Senator Ted Cruz’s Presidential campaign, helping to lead one of the most formidable campaigns in modern Republican primary history. Today, he serves as a network news analyst and Director of International Programs at a leading nonprofit, training political and civic leaders around the world in communication, governance, and campaign strategy. Ron previously served as Chairman of the California Republican Party, where he turned around a financially troubled organization, restored its credibility, and implemented professional systems to support candidates and campaigns across the state. A former Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor of California, Ron campaigned on a platform of constitutional government, fiscal discipline, and educational choice, earning the support of millions of voters. At the local level, Ron was elected to public office in San Diego County in 2020. As a resident of a wildfire-prone rural community, he has become a leading advocate for wildfire threat mitigation, working to improve evacuation routes, reduce fuel loads, strengthen fire protection regulations, and hold government agencies accountable for risk reduction. His work in this area reflects a deep commitment to public safety and responsible land management. Earlier in his career, Ron was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection, where he helped develop statewide policies to reduce wildfire risk after the historic Cedar Fire.
